  • MIME User Manual

The Multi - observing block Image Mosaicing pipelinE (MIME) is a collection of instrument-independent recipes that convert the basic calibrated data products of ESO instrument pipelines into science data products. This manual gives a complete description of the imaging data reduction recipes.

  • MIME Pipeline Tutorial

The Multi-OB Image Mosaicing pipelinE (MIME) is a collection of instrument-independent CPL-based software recipes and Reflex workflows that convert the basic calibrated data products of instrument pipelines into final scientifically usable combined images. This document provides a basic tutorial describing how to obtain the fïnal data products from a basic-calibrated dataset.

  • MIME Instrument Independent Pipeline Reference Manual
Documentation on algorithms and functions of the MIME software package.
  • Topical Report on Astrometry

Report on the development of an astrometry software module for the reduction of dithered imaging data from ESO instruments.

  • Topical Report on Pattern Matching Algorithms

Review of 1D and 2D pattern matching algorithms for applications in astronomical data reduction.

  • Topical Report on Fringe Correction

Description of a new method for the removal of fringe patterns in imaging data based upon the available data themselves.

  • Topical Report on stacking of Cubes

Report on the stacking of 3D data cubes from integral field spectrographs including rectification and resampling.

  • Topical Report on Source Extraction from Spectroscopic Data Cubes

The report describes the automatic identification and extraction of astronomical sources from a data cube.
